History of Hargate HallHargate Hall, located in Wormhill, Buxton, was constructed in 1899. Originally initiated by Joesph Wainwright, the construction was taken over by Robert Whitehead, who made significant additions to the original plans. Whitehead, a successful businessman, added an extra storey to the tower, a coach house, lodge, stables, orangery, and potting shed. The hall has a rich history, with Whitehead being a significant figure in its development.
